We are offering consults via video conferencing. Fill out a contact form on our website, email: jane@cheerydogs.com or call us (919-929 9115) for options. Our video conferencing rates are less than our home visit rates to help you at this hard time.

We are also about to offer group classes via Zoom. Please check back with us or email jane@cheerydogs.com to get on the waiting list.

Jane Marshall, owner and head trainer of Cheery Dogs, has been helping families in the Durham-Chapel Hill area solve their dog problems for over 30 years.

Join a group class with your puppy or adult dog, or arrange an in-home private lesson.

Our trainers are experienced working with problems such as separation anxiety, fear based behaviors, house training, leash reactivity and dog to dog and people aggression. We also love cats, and can help your new family members adjust to each other. Reward based behavior modification is used to resolve any problem you are struggling with.

Helping families with children and their new dog or puppy is an area we specialize in. Our trainers (some of whom are mothers too!) can help you set up for a new baby and provide you with the resources to help minimize strife at this busy stage of life. Science based positive training is used to help your dog learn manners around smaller family members.

Cheery dogs training is recommended by local veterinarians, shelters and rescues.

For more information on our classes in Chapel Hill (including location) click here. To request a private in home consultation click here and fill out a request form. Our service area includes south Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, and west Durham.

If you are outside of our service area, please contact us as we cover some areas with an extra travel fee. We can also recommend many wonderful force free colleagues in the area.

We look forward to helping you with your family pets.
