  • Jane Marshall, CPDT- KA, has been a professional dog trainer in the Chapel Hill -- Durham area for over 25 years, offering group and private instruction. She is the owner and manager of Cheery Dogs LLC
  • She is certified as a professional dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). 
  • Jane evaluates new dogs every week for the APS of Durham. She is a long time supporter of local rescues groups, offering behavioral advice and evaluations for incoming and fostered dogs.
  • She is the proud mum of two shelter dogs, Cherie a pitbull and Pipo a shepherd mix.

Services Offered:


Private Instruction
 
From basic training through behavior problem solving. These sessions are arranged in your own home or a location mutually agreed upon to work on exercises and the issues you want to address for your dog. For more info click on Services
 
 
Group Classes
 
Puppy classes, basic manners classes, advanced classes and specialty classes. Group classes are conveniently held on Elliot road in Chapel Hill at Extraordinary Ventures, a climate controlled indoor facility.
 
 
Puppy Program
 
The Cheery Dogs puppy program starts your young puppy in Puppy Primer and keeps him or her with a dog friendly peer group in the follow up class of Puppy Plus or Puppy Catch Up.
          
               
          Free Dog Training Presentations


Cheery Dogs offers free dog training seminars for students registered in classes and for the general public. Everyone is welcome. No registration required. These seminars review current positive dog training methods and behavior problem solving. Bring your questions but leave your dogs at home. We will have demo dogs for you.
